“Your donation means so much. This program is having significant impacts on our youth and their future. Our students have found successes such as graduation from high school, catching up on credits, being accepted to college or finding the courage to seek treatment to address mental health and addictions. On behalf of Arts Hub Brockville, I want to extend our deepest thanks to 100 Women Who Care for your generous donation. Your support—alongside that of many others—has made a tremendous difference. Because of the incredible momentum your gift helped create, the Carolyn Sifton Foundation increased their matching contribution to an astounding $75,000. With that, we are thrilled to say that Arts Hub Brockville is ready to begin construction on our new kitchen. We will have the funds not only to complete the rebuilding of the space but will also afford the new equipment required.
This will be a complete rebuild, transforming our current, outdated space into a fully professional kitchen that meets all current Health Unit standards.
It has been carefully designed for ease of use and flexibility, allowing us to host hands-on cooking classes while also being equipped to prepare full dinners for more than 100 people. This new facility will be the heart of many community events, youth programs, and shared meals for years to come.
This project has already sparked new opportunities. In addition to serving our theatre camps, youth programs, and community outreach and community partners, we are now working with the Employment and Education Centre to offer food safety and handling certification courses for the hospitality industry. We’re also planning healthy eating workshops for seniors and singles—programs that will strengthen our community in lasting ways.
To say this project will make an impact would be an understatement. Your faith in our organization has made this possible, and your generosity has truly guaranteed its success.
We look forward to welcoming you to our grand opening in early spring, when we’ll celebrate not only a new kitchen—but a thriving, connected community that you helped build.

Thanks again to 100 Women Who Care Brockville. We are very appreciative of the donation we received.
The donation is being used to support our Connections Program. Connections was created to work with students in grades 6-12 who are showing evidence of disengaging from the school system as seen through non attendance, suspensions, progression towards suspensions or difficulty participating in school programming and with at-risk youth who have had or are moving towards contact with the criminal justice system. As part of a community response to these youth, Connections provides intensive, personalized academic, social and life skill development opportunities to build positive experiences. To foster continuing success, the primary focus is on re-integrating the youth into an engaged community network.
The program was strategically designed to assist youth who are facing barriers to developing strong emotional and social skills. We provide ample individualized supports which assist in the navigation and coordination of services for youth including mental health and addictions; work with a qualified teacher to create a personal achievement plan; and have access to the arts and recreation.
Connections provides structured activities and supports each weekday. Programming is provided by program staff, with the support of community volunteers and peer mentors. Each youth is provided quality 1-1 time as well as appropriate social interaction and life skills development time with other youth participants. Transportation is provided to eliminate barriers to participation. Positive connections with our students are keys to success at engaging and supporting our students. We are fortunate to have other organizations partner with us to provide onsite supports to counseling, employment supports, referrals etc.
Our Mission Statement: To improve educational outcomes and personal well-being for disengaged youth.
Our Vision: We are a program like no other to meet the needs of our students.
We Value The 7 R’s:Relationships, Relevance, Rigour, Resilience, Reading, wRiting, aRithmetic
